Horizontal Reflector
This systems unique reflector has:
- Both ends and sides angled and lined with spectral pebble aluminum.
- Dimensions are: 20 - 1/2 inches long by 20 - 3/4 inches wide.
- Louvered on one end and top.
- Can be easily converted into air-cooled by attaching hose fittings.
- Features our exclusive "adjust-a-socket" mechanism to center
every length lamp and/or raise and lower the lamp position inside the reflector
to customize light patterns.
- Will accomodate all sizes of halides, (including BT-56) and all sizes of
HPS lamps.
The reflector for the Sun Gro hydroponic lighting system is made of steel and
powder coated white. The spectral pebble aluminum insert increases light output
by 30%. The unit also includes chrome wire hangers, die punched holes for easy
socket mounting and a printed UPS shippable carton.
Note: Glass is necessary on horizontal metal halide systems for UL, CUL,
and CSA listings to apply. Standard HPS lamps meet listing requirements.

Large Super
Horizontal Reflector
This reflector has:
- Dimensions are 22 - 1/4 inches long and 24 inches wide.
- Covers large areas even if hung close to plants.
- Can be used as standard or air-cooled reflector by attaching hose fittings.
- Will accomodate all sizes of halides, (including BT-37) and all sizes of
HPS lamps.
- Large Super Horizontal is exactly like the Super Spectrum Horizontal
reflector, except it is slightly shorter and does NOT have holes for socket
attachments on BOTH ends.

- Dimensions are 18 inches long and 16 inches wide.
- Louvered ends.
- Fits MH1000 (reduced glass size – BT-37), 400, 250, and 175 watt
sizes; as well as HPS600, 430, 400, 250, and 150 watt sizes.
- Will not accept full size MH1000 or HPS 1000.

this part of the market.
Each Maximizer Complete System Includes:

- 600V. rated detachable lamp cord set.

The Vertizontal delivers the Best of Both!
The Vertizontal reflector burns MH or HPS lamps in the horizontal position but
in an eight sided parabolic reflector. This way much of the light is thrown
downward without interruption and the balance is split up by our uniquely
shaped center piece which divides up light and directs it outward in eight
different directions simultaneously. The center is made entirely of spectral
pebble aluminum for maximum reflectivity and evenness.
Advantages of
Vertical Reflectors
- Because of their large size, wide area coverage from low mounting height.
- Low mounting height reduces distance to plants and thus increases light
levels.
- As light moves away from its source (the lamp) it diminishes as follows:
Light < 1/Distance2.
For example:
1 foot = ..................1000 FC
2 feet 1/4 = ............... 250 FC
3 feet 1/9 = ............... 111 FC
4 feet 1/16 = ............... 63 FC

Advantages of
Horizontal Reflectors
- HID lamps emit light in a continuous 360° ring eminating out from the
arc tube. The main reason that horizontally mounted lamps perform better is
because much of their light is directed downward without having to be reflected
off of a surface.
- The introduction of specular pebble aluminum inserts increased the light
outputs (because of better reflectivity than powder coated steel) and evened
out light patterns (because of its better diffusion qualities).
